This week, all of my kittens left! Vienna, Valente, and Lovey all went to the vet to be fixed and get ready for adopting, and Vanity went back to the rescue to be checked out as she had a sneeze and sniffle thing going on. Valente was adopted after only a day!!! I'll miss him the most, he was so snuggly and sweet! I hope he has a super nice new home.
So, I took some pictures and videos of my V-kittens and Lovey, which will be below, but we also got two new fosters. One is a little poofy Siamese mix named Opaline (I call her Opal for short), and the other is a lanky orange boy named Gabryle (like Gabriel, but I call him Gabe for short!). Gabe was pretty excited to be with us right away, mainly because he loves to play and found the toys we have very fun. He chased around the crinkle balls, batted at the stuffed donut, and has especially been going after my Starbucks Christmas sweater sleeve - this thing:
...which for some reason he thinks is out to get him! He knocked it off a table, and when it fell on him he flipped his lid and deemed it aggressive ever since. It's hilarious.
Opal is way more reserved, somewhat skittish. She doesn't really run away from us, but she does hide. When we pick her up though, she'll let us snuggle her without any protest. She's very, very sweet regardless of the avoidant behavior. We've been snuggling her for a while each evening to get her more used to us, and she's definitely coming out of her shell a little bit. She spent most her time hiding the first couple days, but today I caught her playing with one of the toys in her room finally! Apparently she likes the little stuffed donut - that seems to be a favorite with most the kittens for some reason.
Our boy cat, Binx, decided that since he really liked to play with the last kittens, he wants to be friends with these, too. Opal didn't seem to mind when he said hi to her, but wasn't interested in playing. Gabe was definitely more put off by Binx, lowering his ears at him and avoiding him at first, but today he actually went up to Binx and sniffed at him to check him out. Still wouldn't play with him, but I think it's only a matter of time - Gabe is too playful, and Binx is too, so I think they'll play eventually.
Now for pictures! There will be some Instagram vids in as well this time. At the very bottom is the video of Gabe attacking the Starbucks sleeve.
Lovey hanging out, and Vanity in the background on the couch.
Vanity and Valente nap time.
Sleepy Valente on James' lap.
He loves pets!
Sleepiest kitten.
And he's out.
Lovey passed out, too!
Then Valente came back to lay down on top of Vanity.
The window was cracked to let in some air, and the kitties all had to check it out.
Chii on the left, then Binx by the kittens, then Vienna, then Valente on the right.
Binx and Vanity checking out the patio.
Distracted!
Now the new kittens! This is Opal in hiding.
She was trying to hide but had pictures taken of her, anyway.
Gabe looking wide-eyed.
Gabe again!
This was Gabe's first meeting with Binx.
Trying to take a picture of Opal.
Kitten selfie! Look at her pretty blue eyes!

More kitten selfies.
Opal decided she wanted to see the top of the couch where Chii was.
But then she decided against it before she reached the top.
Opal on my lap. I swear she didn't look so pitiful in person.
Gabe examining the curtain.
He discovered that the strings are fun to bat at!
More Gabe on the window sill.
Strings!
James holding Opal.
James petting Gabe. He's a friendly kitten!
